In this 5 week workshop we will explore the profound connection between our creativity and our identity through the use of symbols and intuitive/ and intentional painting process.
Our vehicle to explore this idea will be a set of Matryoshka dolls, or Nesting Dolls. Each participant will receive a set of 5 dolls and then transform thier dolls using a combination of collage and acrylic paint techniques. Dolls do not have to be traditional or figurative.We will give each other feedback and examine our own process through journaling at the end of each session. No prior art experience is needed.
2 hour session x1/week for 5 weeks. Mondays, 6:00pm-7:30 beginning July 12 until August 9, 2010.
