Making Therapy Work with Your Budget I offer a free phone consultation to any persons who are curious about working with me. For clients paying out of pocket, I offer the first session at a reduced initial session fee of $50. Please feel free to call me to see if I might be a good fit for you or your family.
Sessions are $90 per 50-55 minutes (a standard therapuetic hour is 50 mintues), or $125 for 80-85 minutes. Extended sessions are recommended for families, or for those who know they may need a little extra time.
I am available for my clients in-between sessions via phone or email, or to consult with other professionals (teachers, psychiatrists) if I have your written authorization. Please note that this 'outside of session' time is pro-rated at the hourly rate and is not reimbursable by insurance.
There is no fee for communication related to scheduling.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of service by cash, check, or credit card. Services may be paid for either though a fee-for-service rate or by your insurance company. It is policy to keep a credit card on file for late cancellations or other types of services rendered.
I am "in-network" with the following insurance plans:
AETNA ALL ONE EAP Anthem Blue Cross/ Blue Shield HMO and PPO Beech Street/Multiplan Blue Cross/ Blue Shield HUMANA
If your insurance company is not listed that means I am an "out of network" provider for that particular insurance company. If your plan includes "out of network benefits", you may request a receipt from our office to submit to your insurance company directly.
Cancellation/ No Show Policy
Please understand that when you make an appointment, I am reserving that time for you. If you are late, there may or may not be a possibility of extending your session to give you your full time. If you miss an appointment, that is time that could have been spent with another client, therefore it is necessary for me to charge for missed appointments or late cancellations. Cancellations occurring less than 24 hours prior to your appointment will be charged $45. Missed appointments without a phone call will be charged the full fee of $90. I will use my discretion if it is appropriate terminate therapy after more than three no-shows or late cancellations.
